GSRTC Helper Vacancy 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: 18 to 35 years.
For this recruitment, the age will be calculated as on the last date of online application. Category-wise upper-age relaxation is applicable as per the notification.
For General category candidates, the maximum age is 35 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates. For reserved category candidates, the applicable maximum age is higher as specified in the notification. The maximum age after applicable relaxation shall not exceed 45 years in the prescribed cases.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed at least one relevant trade from a Government-recognized ITI.
Eligible ITI trades mentioned in the notification include:

Apprenticeship Qualification – Additional Weightage
Candidates who have completed Apprenticeship in the same trade as their ITI qualification and possess the required NCVT certificate and marksheet can receive additional weightage.
For example, an ITI Electrician candidate must have completed Apprenticeship in the Electrician trade itself to claim the applicable additional qualification weightage. Apprenticeship in a different trade will not qualify for this benefit.
GSRTC Helper Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process
The selection process includes a 100-mark MCQ-based written examination. The final merit weightage will be calculated as follows:
Written Examination: 90% weightage
Apprenticeship Certificate: 10% weightage
Total: 100% weightage
Candidates will subsequently be shortlisted for document verification on the basis of merit and the available vacancies.

GSRTC Helper Salary 2026
Selected candidates will initially be appointed on a fixed-pay basis with a monthly remuneration of ₹21,100 for five years. After satisfactory completion of five years of service, candidates may become eligible for regular appointment to the Helper cadre with the applicable regular pay as per GSRTC rules.
