Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Matriculation (10th) qualification, and
- National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

Age Limit
The candidate’s age should be between 18 years and 32 years as on the closing date of the advertisement.
Upper age relaxation will be applicable to eligible reserved categories as per applicable Government of India rules. Ex-Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factories may receive age relaxation to the extent of their apprenticeship training period, as specified in the advertisement. 4
Salary / Remuneration
- Pay Level: ₹20,000 – ₹65,000
- Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA): Applicable
- HRA: As per applicable rates, if company accommodation is not allotted
- Medical Allowance: ₹1,500 per month
- Annual Increment: 3% of basic pay, rounded off to the next ₹10, subject to satisfactory performance

Job Profile
The selected candidates will work in technical trades related to the Project/Augmentation of capacity of TPDK-1, T-90 (OH) and T-72 at OLF, a unit under India Optel Limited. 6
Place of Posting
The initial place of posting will be OLF Dehradun, Uttarakhand. However, candidates engaged under the contract may be transferred to any IOL unit, project establishment, office or other location in India as required by the Company. 7
Nature and Tenure of Engagement
The engagement is purely on a Full-Time Fixed Term Contract basis.
- Initial engagement may be for a maximum period of 2 years.
- Extension may be granted for up to 1 year or less at a time, depending on requirement and performance.
- The total period of engagement can be up to a maximum of 5 years, including extensions.
- This engagement does not provide any right to permanent or regular employment in IOL.

Selection Process
The selection process will be based on shortlisting and a Practical Trade Test.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for the Trade Test based on the percentage of marks obtained in the final examination of NTC/NAC.
- Up to 2 times the number of vacancies may be called for the Trade Test.
- The Practical Trade Test will be qualifying in nature only.
- A candidate who fails the Trade Test will be disqualified.
- Final merit will be decided solely on the percentage of marks obtained in the final NTC/NAC examination.
- If a candidate possesses both NTC and NAC, the NTC percentage will be considered.
In case of a tie, preference will be given first to Ex-Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factories, followed by the older candidate and then alphabetical order of names. 9
