Eligible candidates from the specified Northern Region States/UTs can apply through the respective NATS/NAPS apprenticeship portals. The total number of tentative apprentice seats is 205.

Stipend

Educational Qualification
Graduate / Diploma Apprentices: Candidates should possess a full-time (Regular) 4-year Degree or 3-year Regular Diploma in Engineering in the relevant mentioned streams, recognized by AICTE, Government of India.
ITI Trade Apprentices: Candidates should possess an ITI / NCVT certificate in the mentioned trade from an institution recognized by AICTE, Government of India.
Important: The vacancy table separately lists BCA/B.Com – 10 Graduate seats. Candidates interested in this category should carefully read the official notification before applying because the general educational qualification clause specifically refers to Degree/Diploma in Engineering streams.
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 26 Years
Age will be calculated as on: 16 September 2026
Relaxation in the upper age limit for categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PwBD will be applicable as per Government of India guidelines.

For Graduate/Diploma candidates, candidates who passed their Degree/Diploma in 2024 or after 2024 are eligible.
Apprenticeship Training Locations
Training will be conducted at various airports/establishments under AAI Northern Region. The notification mentions locations including:
Adampur, Amritsar, Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Bhatinda, Bikaner, Chitrakoot, CATC-Prayagraj, Dehradun, Farukkhabad, Fursatganj, Gorakhpur, Gwalior, Hindon, Hissar, Halwara/Ludhiana, Jammu, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kangra-Gaggal, Kanpur, Khajuraho, Kullu-Bhuntar, Kushinagar, Kishangah, Kota, Lucknow, Leh, Moradabad, Muirpur, Meerut, Pantnagar, Pathankot, Pratapgarh, Pithoragarh, Prayagraj Airport, Safdarjung, Shravasti, Srinagar, Shimla, Udaipur, Varanasi, etc., and various offices in New Delhi.
Important: The allocated Airport/Station/Unit will be final. Change of training location will not be entertained at a later stage.
Selection Process
- Provisional shortlisting will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
- In case of equal percentage, Date of Birth and thereafter Date of Passing will be considered for seniority.
- CGPA will be converted into percentage as per the norms of the concerned Board/University.
- Eligible/shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification / Interview through their registered email IDs.
- Final selection will be based on interview, verification of certificates and submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate.
- Selected candidates will receive the apprenticeship engagement letter after completing the required verification and medical fitness process.
No written examination is mentioned in the notification.
Medical Fitness Certificate
At the time of joining, the selected candidate has to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate obtained from a Government Medical Officer / Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking.
Important Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training are not eligible.
- Candidates who terminated their apprenticeship midway are not eligible.
- Candidates currently pursuing apprenticeship in another organization or AAI at the same qualification level are not eligible.
- Candidates having apprenticeship training/job experience of 1 year or more after attaining the essential qualification are not eligible.
- A candidate can apply for only one discipline. Applying for more than one discipline will lead to rejection of the application.
- The selected apprentice has to sign the apprenticeship contract through the NATS/NAPS portal after joining AAI.

- Select the relevant apprenticeship opportunity and click on Apply.
For ITI Trade Apprentices:
- Visit the Apprenticeship India/NAPS portal.
- Complete candidate registration and profile.
- Search for Airports Authority of India – RHQ NR, New Delhi.
- NAPS Establishment Code: E05200700101.
- Select the relevant ITI apprenticeship opportunity and click on Apply.
Only applications submitted through the concerned NATS/NAPS portal will be considered.

Important Instructions
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Reservation for SC/ST, OBC and EWS will be followed as applicable.

- Apprenticeship training does not create any right to claim regular employment in AAI.
- Selected apprentices will be governed by the applicable rules and regulations of the establishment during training.
- The apprenticeship contract automatically ceases after completion of the stipulated 12-month training period.
